Samuel Peaslee 
Samuel was born on June 5th, 1746 in Sandown, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Samuel's father was David Peaslee and his mother was Rachel Straw. His maternal grandparents were John Straw and Lydia Sargent. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Peter, David, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Timothy, John, Dorothy, Rachel and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 75 on September 12th, 1821 in Sutton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire.General Notes
Samuel and Sarah, with one child, moved to Perrytown, now Sutton New Hampshire in the spring of 1770. They settled at what is now the South Village where he built the first house and kept the first tavern in the town. Samuel Peaslee was a very prominent and useful man in the new township, as the early records show.

‌Samuel and Sarah were married in a religious ceremony on March 13th, 1768. They had five sons and four daughters, named Thomas, Samuel, David, Joseph, Jonathan, Mary, Sarah, Rachel and Judith.
