Frederick Scoville was born on August 20th, 1884 in Rutland, Essex County, Massachusetts. Frederick Scoville's father was Frederick Scoville Hunt and his mother was Abbie Rebecca Wales. His maternal grandparents were Ivory Wales and Rebecca B. Sargent. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Edson Ivory, Waldo William, Harold Gordan, Ernest Raymond, Gertrude Rebecca, Bertha Cleora and Bernice Louise. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 81 on May 21st, 1966.-
