Mary Edith was born on April 17th, 1899 in Stryker, Williams County, Ohio. Mary Edith's father was Sylvester Allen Hillard and her mother was Mary Etta Vaus. Her paternal grandparents were William Henry Hillard and Elizabeth E. Bailey. She had five brothers and two sisters, named John William, Loy Allen, Fay Olen, Forest Rex, Dale Vaus, Etta May and Hazel L.. She was the second youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 88 on August 26th, 1987 in Barton, Jack County, Texas.-
