His maternal grandparents were Daniel Kimball and Sarah. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Daniel, William Henry, Ebenezer, Nancy A., Rebecca, Rhoda Ann, Sarah and Charlotta. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 50 on March 1st, 1877 in Williams County, Ohio.-
