James Walter was born on July 17th, 1913. James Walter's father was Joshia Burt Fitts and his mother was Eve Rosette Freeman. His paternal grandparents were James Gale Fitts and Martha Ann Pillsbury. He had a brother and three sisters, named Francis Burt, Martha Kathleen, Mildred Gale and Lois Evelyn. He is the youngest of the five children.-
