John Stark was born on November 19th, 1851 in Exeter, NH. John Stark's father was Albert S. Colby and his mother was Maria Freeman Dresser. His paternal grandparents were James Colby and Mary Sterling. He had three brothers named Nathan Dresser, James Albert and Robert. He was the oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Robert William and Elizabeth Anna. He died at the age of 47 on November 26th, 1898 in Abbot, ME.-
