Daniel Colby 
Daniel was born about 1808 in Berkeley, Massachusetts. Daniel's father was David Colby and his mother is Sarah Farrington. His paternal grandparents are Jacob Colby and Anne Miller. He had five brothers and a sister, named Ebenezer, Charles Bostich, Jacob, Farnum, Philander and Mehitable. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He had three half-brothers named David, William and Amos. He died on April 19th, 1875 in Jackson Twp., Jones, Iowa. He was buried in Pleasant Valley Cem.-
