Sarah J. was born on March 14th, 1853 in Brooksville, Indiana, USA.1 Sarah J.'s father was John Cumberland Ellis and her mother was Harriet Quick. She was an only child. She died at the age of 70 on May 18th, 1923.1 
Sarah J. and John W were married in a religious ceremony on September 3rd, 1871 in Franklin, Indiana, USA.2 They had two sons and two daughters, named Albert, Charles, Hattie and Mabel.
