Johanna Wilhelmina Knudsen 
Johanna Wilhelmina was born on September 11th, 1849 in Klintumfeld auf Fohr, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. Johanna Wilhelmina's father was Boy Knudsen and her mother was Mathilda Catharina Carstens. She had two brothers named Conrad and Moritz. She was the oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 69 on January 1st, 1919 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu, Louisiana. She was buried on January 2nd, 1919 in Double Tomb in Orange Grove Cemetery, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
Johanna Wilhelmina and Volkert Heinrich were married in a religious ceremony on November 16th, 1872 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu, LA. They had two sons and two daughters, named Henry Bernhardt, George William, Mathilda Catherina Christjana and Emma Louisa.

"Johanna Wilhelmina Knudsen was married to Volkert Heinrish Bendixen Nov. 16, 1872 in Lake Charles, LA by District Judge H. J. Reid in the presence of the following witnesses: F.G. Mochling, Daniel Goos, and Frederick Beyer.
Judge Reid lived in a large house which was later known as Mason Villa in a block bounded by Hodges, Division, Moss and Mill Streets. Mr. and Mrs. Bendixen began housekeeping in Goosport facing Calcasieu (?) River next door to Mr. Bendixen's sister, Helena, known to us as Taunta (Faunta?)"

Emma Louisa was born on July 11th, 1885 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu, Louisiana. She died at the age of 91 in 1976 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA.
