Jesse Floyd was born on February 3rd, 1816. Jesse Floyd's father was Jesse Hatcher and his mother was Sarah Jane Floyd. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Barfield and FNU Hatcher; his maternal grandparents were Francis Lewis Floyd and Isabella Warburton Johnston. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Stephen, Francis, Miles, John, Samuel, Hugh, Ann R., M., Martha Elizabeth, Catherine Jane and Isabella.-
