Eudokia was born about 1127 in Constantinople. Eudokia's father was Konstantinos Angelos and her mother was Theodora Komnene. Her paternal grandfather was Manolis Angelos; her maternal grandparents were Alexius I Comnenus and Irini Dukaina. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Ioannes, Alexios Komnenos, Andronikos Dukas, Isaakios, Maria and Zoe. She had a half-sister named Euphosyne.-
