Ryksa+ was born on April 22nd, 1116 in Krakow, Poland. Ryksa+'s father was Boleslas III+ Piast and her mother was Salome Von+ Berg. Her paternal grandparents were Wladislaw Herman I+ Piast and Judith+ Przemyslide; her maternal grandparents were Heinrich I Von+ Berg and Adelheid Von+ Mochental. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Mieszko III+, Casimir II+, Adelaide and Judith. She was the second oldest of the five children.
