Her paternal grandfather is Nithard Martel d'Heristal and her paternal grandmother was Richarde; her maternal grandparents were Emperor Charlemagne of the Holy Roman Empire and Hildegarde of Vinzgau. She had two brothers and a sister, named Hardouin, "the Chronicler" and Arsinde. She died before 0859.
