Maud was born about 1282 in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, Wales.  Maud's father was Patrick de Chaworth and her mother was Countess Isabel de Beauchamp of Winchester.  Her paternal grandparents were Patrick de Chaworth III and Hawise de Londres; her maternal grandparents were Earl William de Beauchamp of Warwick and Maud FitzJohn. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Hugh, Philip, Walter and Isabel.  She died after February 19th, 1317.  She was buried before December 3rd, 1322 in Priory, Mottisfont, Hampshire, England.


Maud's family with Henry Plantagenet

‌Maud and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on March 12th, 1296 in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, Wales.  They had a son and four daughters, named Henry, "of Lancaster", Joan, Mary and Eleanor.
