Pappia was born about 0980 in Normandy, France.  Pappia's father was Duke Richard ("the Fearless", "Sans Peur") I of Normandy and her mother was Papia.  Her paternal grandparents were Duke William ("Longsword", "Longue Epaee") I of Normandy and Esprista de Senlis. She had two sisters named Muriella and Fredistina. She had six half-brothers and six half-sisters, named William, "Curthose", Mauger, Godfrey, "the Good", William Hieme, Hawise, Beatrix, Emma, Beatrice, Susannah and Alix.


Pappia's first family with Advocate Gilbert de Saint Valery

‌Pappia and Gilbert were married in a religious ceremony about 1004 in St Valery, -En-Caux, Normandy, France.  They had three sons named Bernard, Richard FitzGilbert and Bernard.


Pappia's second family with Thureyitel Neufmarche

They had a son named Geoffroy.
