Earl Archibald ("the Grim") Douglas 
Archibald, known as "the Grim", was born about 1325. "the Grim"'s father was Lord James ("The Black Douglas"; "Good Sir James") Douglas of Galloway. His paternal grandparents were William ("le Hardi") de Douglas and Elizabeth Stewart. He was an only child. He died on December 24th, 1400.General Notes
