Aveline Ales was born about 1109 in Norfolk, France.  Aveline Ales' father was King Alexander ("the Fierce") I of Scotland and her mother is Queen Sibyl Elizabeth de Failaise of Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were King Malcom III ("Ceanmor", "Longneck", "Bighead") of Scotland and Princess Margaret ("the Exile", "Atheling") of Wessex; her maternal grandparents were King Henry ("Beauclerc", "Fine Scholar") Plantagenet I of England and Sibyl Corbet. She has a half-sister named Maud.
