Aude was born about 0732 in France. Aude's father was King Charles ("the Hammer") Martel of France and her mother was Chrotrud Treves. Her paternal grandparents were Duke Pepin d'Heristal II of Austrasia and Elphide de Saxonie; her maternal grandfather was Bishop Leutwinus Treves and her maternal grandmother is daughter. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Carloman, "the Short", Bernard, Hieronmus, Auda and Landrade. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Bernard, Bernard, daughter, Landree and Olba.
