Mathilde was born in 1251 in Habsburg, Argau, Switzerland.1   Mathilde's father was Rudolf I Habsburg and her mother was Gertrude Von Hohenberg.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Albrecht Of Habsburg and Hedwige Von Kyburg. She had a brother and six sisters, named Albert I, Clemence, Mechteld Droste, Agnes, Hedwig, Eufemie Princess Of and Jutta.  She died at the age of 53 on December 23rd, 1304 in Munich, Oberbayern, Germany.1
