Thomas was born on July 4th, 1675 in Worthenby, Flintshire, Wales and his baptism took place on July 4th, 1675 in Chester Co, PA. Thomas' father was Thomas TAYLOR and his mother was Mrs. Frances TAYLOR. His paternal grandparents were Phillip TAYLOR and Mrs. Elizabeth TAYLOR; his maternal grandfather is John YARDLEY. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John, Thomas, Phillip, Peter, Phillip, Jane, Aloysia, Phoebe, Frances and Mary. He was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
