Margaret was born about 1511 in of Wilton, In Cleveland, Yorkshire, England. Margaret's father was Edward Stafford and her mother was Eleanor Percy. Her paternal grandparents were Henry Stafford and Katherine Wydeville; her maternal grandparents were Henry Percy and Maud Herbert. She had a brother and three sisters, named Henry, Mary, Elizabeth and Catherine. She was the youngest of the five children. She died on May 25th, 1537 in ,Smithfield, Middlesex, England.-
