Edward was born on February 3rd, 1478 in Brecknock Castle, Brecknockshire, Wales. Edward's father was Henry Stafford and his mother was Katherine Wydeville. His paternal grandfather was Humphrey Stafford and his paternal grandmother is Margaret Beaufort; his maternal grandparents were Richard Wydeville and Jacquette Dedist of Columb Luxembourg. He had a brother and two sisters, named Henry, Elizabeth and Anne. He was the oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 43 on May 17th, 1521 in Tower Hill, London, Middlesex, England. He was buried in Austin Friars, London, Middlesex, England.-
