Thomas was born in 1388 in of, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. Thomas' father was John Montagu (Montacu and his mother was Maude Francis. His paternal grandparents were John Dedist of Columb Montagu (Montacu and Margaret Dedist of Columb Monthermer; his maternal grandparents are Adam Francis and Alice Francis. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Robertus (Montacute), Richard, Margaret, Anne and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 40 on November 3rd, 1428 in Orleans. He was buried in Priory, Bisham, Berkshire, England.-
