Lars was born on October 13th, 1754 in Bidstrup, Birkerod, Frederiksborg, Denmark.1   Lars' father was Jens OLSEN and his mother is Gjertrud NIELSEN. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Ole, Lars, Niels, Anne and Karen.  He is the third youngest of the six children.
