Gerberga was born in 0962. Gerberga's father was Geoffrey I Greymantle and her mother was Adelaide de Vermandois. Her paternal grandparents were II Fulk and Gerberga du Maine; her maternal grandparents were UNKNOWN Robert and Adelaide de Chalons. She had a brother and two sisters, named Nera III, Hermengarde and Adela. She is the youngest of the four children. She had two half-sisters named Isabel (Elizabeth) and Maud.-
