Joseph Curtiss 
Joseph was born on March 31st, 1644 in Weathersfield, Hartford County, Connectecutt. Joseph's father was Dr.Thomas Curtiss and his mother was Elizabeth (Wid) Salmon. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Curtiss and Mary Camp Shelly; his maternal grandfather is Christopher Salmon and his maternal grandmother was Ms. Christopher Salmon. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Sgt. John, James, Samuel, Isaac, Samuel, Ruth and Elizabeth. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 39 on December 31st, 1683 in Weathersfield, Hartford County, Connectecutt.General Notes
