His paternal grandfather was Herbert I Count of VERMANDOIS and his paternal grandmother is Bertha DE MORVOIS; his maternal grandparents were ROBERT I King Of France and ADELAIDE Princess Of France. He had four brothers and two sisters, named ODO, HERBERT III 'THE, ROBERT, ALBERT I (ADALBERT) 'THE, ALICE (ADELAIDE ADELE) and LUITGARDE. He was the youngest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Robert and HILDEGARDE. He died at the age of 43 in 0965.-
