Althea Elva's father was Perry Hylas Warren and her mother was Edella Eliza McFarland. Her paternal grandparents were Felix Grundy ,Jr. Warren and Elizabeth Jane McGlasson. She had five brothers and a sister, named Hylas Artice, Alton Cleo, John Felix, Wayman Bernard, Aubrey Herman and Veralene.-
