William Thurston Underwood 
William Thurston was born on June 27th, 1914. William Thurston's father was Noah Allen Underwood and his mother was Jodie McCoy Underwood. His paternal grandfather was Thurston Alexander Underwood and his paternal grandmother is Mamie Emiline Jackson; his maternal grandparents were William Arthur Underwood and Ida Elnora McBrayer. He had five brothers and two sisters, named James Marcus, Elvis Nimrod, Noah Allen ,Jr., Leslie Lee, Thomas Ethridge, Frances Mae and Dorothy Marie. He is the oldest of the eight children.-
