Tenley Underwood, 79, of Route 1, Hodgenville, died Tues day , Aug 18, 1981 at Hardin Memorial Hospijtal in Elizabethtown, where he had been a patient for three weeks. He was a retired farmer, and member of Otter Creek Baptist Church, where he had been a deacon for 45 years. Survivors include; his wife, Lillie Caulk  Underwood; one daughter Evelyn hedgespeth of Star Route, Campbells ville; three sons, James Hardin Underwood and Claude T. Underwood, both of Louisville, and Odell Underwood of Route 1, Hodgenville; Ten graznd children; four great-grandchildren; two sisters Sophia Skaggs of Greensburg and Mattie Brewer of Elizabethtown; and one brother, Ernest Underwood of Princeton, Illinois. The body will be at Bennett-Bertram Funeral Home until the funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter Lay and the Rev. Gerald Gardner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
