Her paternal grandfather was Joshua Underwood and her paternal grandmother is Mary Carlile. She had four brothers and four sisters, named J. O. Cleveland, Jessie Davis, George T., Johnnie G., Margaret E., S. Tilden, Ida F. and Elizabeth Ann. She was the second oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 75 on April 21st, 1957 in Louisville,Jefferson Co.,Kentucky.-
