Kate Ella was born on August 10th, 1886 in Taylor Co.,Kentucky. Kate Ella's father was Lewis J. Underwood and her mother was Mary Jane Warren. Her paternal grandfather was Abraham Hiram Underwood and her paternal grandmother is Mary Roark; her maternal grandparents were Felix Grundy Warren and Elizabeth Frances Dearen. She had six brothers and four sisters, named Perry Monroe, Lewis Thomas, Jefferson Leslie, Isaac Lee, James Arthur, Robert Emmit, Mary Elizabeth, Ida Louise, Lou J. and Virginia Alice. She was the second youngest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother named Charles Robinson. She died at the age of 68 on May 5th, 1955 in Taylor Co.,Kentucky. She was buried in Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery,Taylor Co.,Kentucky.General Notes
