Caroline Nancy was born on April 9th, 1849 in Taylor Co.,Kentucky. Caroline Nancy's father was Abraham Hiram Underwood and her mother is Mary Roark. Her paternal grandparents were Caleb Underwood and Elizabeth Mary Wardrum. She had six brothers and five sisters, named William A., James S., Lewis J., Samuel S. , Rev., Abraham Vanzill, Randol Monroe, Cynthia, Elizabeth, Jane, Nancy A. and Mary E.. She was the third youngest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 61 in 1910. She was buried in Roark Cemetery.-
