General Notes

Eldest daughter o;f George Blakey Smith and his first wife Martha. She was trainded to be a teacher. When her cousin A. C. Farmer and his family moved west they invited her to accompany them to Scott Co., Mississippi  She was widowed soon after the birth o fher third child and her sister Elizabeth came from Georgia to help with  the children, so that Sarah could go back to teaching. When the Keahey Clan, under the leadership of John Robert Jackson Keahey moved to Rockwell, Texas in 1880, Martha and her children went with them. They later came to Collin County  and finally to Pampa, Texas.
