Isaac Smalley 
Isaac was born in 1696. Isaac's father was Daniel Smalley and his mother is Abigail Snow. His paternal grandparents were Francis Smalley and Elizabeth Leighton. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Daniel, John, Edward, Benajmin, Elisha, Anna and Abigail. He died at the age of 69 on October 30th, 1765 in Cape Elizabeth,Falmouth.General Notes
An ancient "wast-book" of Isaac Small is in the possession of Dr. Elmer Small , of Belfast, Maine, Who kindly lent it to the writer, monetime after the earlier part of the first edition of these volumes was complted . This "wast-book" is sexteen and a fourth inches ling, six and a half inches widem and abut one and a half inches thick, with a cover of sheepskin. THe oldest record is as follows: " nouember ye 28. 1738 nathaniel mayo Came for to go whaling with me." Seven years later, he added a few family items: A short Racord of the time I was fust mared in the Eyer 1722 and in nouember the 28 day Elizabeth born october (blotted ) 1723 and James born in the Eyer 1734 in august the 17 day and Ruth born in the Eyeer 1737 the 10 of July and Isaac (Jr) born in the Eyeer 1740 in august the 17 day and my wife dyed may 16 day 1743 and I was mared again in desember the 8 day of the same Eyer and Susanna born in the Eyer 1744 in Oct 6day a short a count of the children that I have now liueing this 7 day of March 1745
