Meshack was born in 1768. Meshack's father was Richard Skaggs and his mother was Elizabeth Wells. His paternal grandfather was James Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Rachael Susannah Moredock. He had six brothers and five sisters, named Benjamin, John, Shadrack, Henry, Abednego, John, Lydia, Sarah, Rhoda, Elizabeth and Rebecca. He died at the age of 27 in 1795 in Monroe Co.,Kentucky.General Notes
