Lucretia was born on December 25th, 1855 in Lincamp,LaRue Co.,Kentucky. Lucretia's father was Henry Mitchell Skaggs and her mother was Lurena Elizabeth Carroll. Her paternal grandparents were Matthew Skaggs and Rebecca Orrick. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Thomas Mitchell, Joseph Henry, James Lewis, Marvin S., Melvina Jane, Mary Ann, Sarah Elizabeth, Marion and Chrisse C.. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 68 on March 18th, 1924 in Springfield,Sagamon Co.,Illinois.-
