Closky Maxium was born in December 1899. Closky Maxium's father was Samuel Major Skaggs and his mother is Viola Pepper. His paternal grandparents were John Calvin Skaggs and Arabelle Davis. He had three brothers named Ira Clifton, Herman Heywood and Glenn Fordyce. He is the oldest of the four children. He had two half-sisters named Alta Ethel and Rosie Catherine.-
