Sarah Helon was born on August 6th, 1885 in Horry Co.,South Carolina. Sarah Helon's father was Charles Pittman Shelley and her mother was Florence Graham. Her maternal grandparents were Alphia Alford Graham and Helen Alice Johnson. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Noah Alpha, Charles Hudson, James Austin, George Roland, Daniel Burn, Ernest Reburn, Agnes Lou and Mae Florence. She was the oldest of the nine children. She had a half-sister named Ethel Mae Mishoe. She died at the age of 68 on June 28th, 1954. She was buried in Green Sea Cemetery,Horry Co.,South Carolina.1 -
