Vernard Arthur was born on July 20th, 1900. Vernard Arthur's father was John Calvin Keahey and his mother is Sarah L. Burd. His paternal grandfather was John Samuel Keahey and his paternal grandmother is Margaret Ann Hunt. He had a brother and a sister, named John Samuel and Flora Mae.
