Daniel Patterson was born on April 1st, 1820 in North Carolina. Daniel Patterson's father was Samuel M. Keahey and his mother was Isabella Patterson. His paternal grandparents were James Keahey and Mary Jane Jackson; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Buffalo Patterson and Margaret Jane Graham. He had three brothers and three sisters, named George B., James, Samuel ,Jr., Margaret, Mary Ann and Eliza. He died at the age of 35 on February 9th, 1856 in Talladega,Alabama.-
