Bertha Mabel was born on October 13th, 1914. Bertha Mabel's father was George Reed Keahey and her mother was Eva Mae Choate. Her paternal grandparents were Archibald Smith Keahey and Martha Elizabeth Robertson. She had six brothers and three sisters, named George Boyd, John Archie, Elmer Lee, Haskell Reed, Francis Newton, Jesse Lloyd, Anna Laura, Lora Beatrice and Lettie May. She is the youngest of the ten children.-
