Olen James was born on May 7th, 1915 in Oklahoma. Olen James' father was Owen Walker Hatcher and his mother was Mittie Mae Graham. His maternal grandparents were James Duncan ,Rev. Graham and Samantha Clercy Rogers. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Owen Alfred, David Edwin, Alvin Elias, Ernest Wayne, Samantha Anna and Lela Mae. He died at the age of 73 on December 24th, 1988 in Fresno Co.,California. He was buried in Pleasant Hill Cemetery,Armstrong,Bryan Co.,Oklahoma.-
