Joseph Hankins 
Joseph was born in 1780 in Virginia. Joseph's father was John Hankins and his mother was Elizabeth Skaggs. His maternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Rachel Unknown. He had a brother and seven sisters, named Moses, Mary, Rachel, Lucinda, Rebecca, Sarah, Lydia and Parthenia. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 80 in 1860 in Virginia.General Notes
He was very small of stature. The story is told that he hid in a cabage patch from a party of Indians. When they discovered him they were so much impressed with his diminutive size they called him "Mr. Nobody" and told him they would not hurt him, and for him to keep his gun and hunt wherever he pleased.

Milton was born on December 27th, 1818. He died at the age of 70 on January 2nd, 1889.
