Nan's father was Westley R. Graham and her mother was Susan Eliza Murrell. Her paternal grandfather was John Graham and her paternal grandmother is Demarious Chapman. She had eight brothers and a sister, named C. T., John Lee, Willie, Franklin, Ossie, Bailey Benton, Charlie, Fate and Sudie.-
