Early 1980's, Parnella Ford wrote about her grandfather: "Si" Ford, my grandfather, fought in the Civil War with the north. In our part of the state it was part of a family fighting on both sides. My grandmother Ford was also a Bradberry. She had a brother on one side and "Si" her sweetheart on the other. "Si" Ford had many brothers and I know two more sisters. One named Mary John and Sarah Anne Ford. I don't know who they married. It seems like one married a Duke. They lived in middle or east Tn. and I believe one in Kentucky, maybe both for "Si" Ford's brothers lived in Ky, middle Tn and Illinois. Two of his brothers, I knew their children. Willie, Georgie, and Mandy Ford. Mandy married a Gunn. They live out from Clarksville on Nashville Pike to Port Royal and Adams on small post office east of Clarksville, Tn.
2002: Terry Coats writes: He was in the Civil War fought for the North (6th Calv Co. "L" USA) I have copies of his pension papers.
