Joseph R. Elkin 
Joseph R. was born on July 6th, 1878 in Kentucky. Joseph R.'s father was John Martin Elkin and his mother was Sarah A. Thompson. His paternal grandfather was William Melton Elkin and his paternal grandmother is Lucyann Perlina Davis. He had four brothers and three sisters, named James S., William, Charles A., Jake, Lucy J., Mary M. and Florence. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 82 in 1960.-
