James , Sr. was born on October 7th, 1776.1 James , Sr.'s father was John , Sr. Edwards and his mother is Ruth Turbyfill. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named Wheeler, John E. , Jr., Nathaniel, Obediah, Stephen C, Tainer, Benjamin, Charles, Sarah, Nancy, Patience and Polly. He died at the age of 101 on October 6th, 1878 in Palestine,Lee,MS,USA.1 
James , Sr. were married in a religious ceremony on February 27th, 1800 in ,Lincoln,NC,USA.
