Edward J. was born in September 1869 in Weakley.1 Edward J.'s father was John Francis Marion Bowers and his mother was Juddy Ann Carolyn "Sudia" Bradberry. His maternal grandparents were John Henry , Sr Bradberry and Susan Taylor. He had four brothers and a sister, named Yancy, John C., Davis Allen, William Athey and Nancy C.. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Edd and Martha.General Notes
