Alice Haxall was born on July 17th, 1857. Alice Haxall's father was Wood Bouldin and her mother is Martha Daniel. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Tyler , Judge Bouldin and Nancy Anne Bickerton Lewis; her maternal grandparents are William Daniel and Margaret Baldwin. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Elvira Daniel, William Daniel, Charles Ellet, Briscoe Baldwin, Frank Deane, Martha Daniel, Anne Lewis, Virginia Stewart and Cornelia D.. She is the fourth youngest of the ten children.-
